Clean Up, Clean Up
Yep. Still cleaning. The house is still like yesterday (pretty much bare), and our TV is still there. I don’t think my dad wants to try to move it. Way too much time has been spent setting the wires, wire tubes, and lying down because our backs hurt too much. It would be like trying to proofread an essay without spellcheck. Tedious and painful.
Here is our gracious garage again, filling up a little more since yesterday. Check out that maximizing of space by my box-stacking skills. I loved playing with legos as a kid and it is paying off now. Trying hard to keep that walkway open.
More tomorrow, yo!
On a side note, Dara Torres’ story is very inspiring. Although twice the age of some of the Olympians competing in Beijing, the number does not deter her from participating.
If, she said, what she did here in Beijing “helps anyone else out there who is in their middle-aged years and maybe put off something they thought they couldn’t do because they were too old, or maybe thought because they have children they can’t balance what they want to do in being a parent, if that can help anyone out there to show what I’ve done and that you can do it — then I’m absolutely thrilled.
“That would be a rewarding experience if that comes out of this.”
Don’t let time steal God-given opportunities. Beat it to the punch. Get it in before the ding.
Yes, I realize that this is on a very side note. Like, if I were at the north pole, this side note would be sitting at the south pole.
